The Peel library has been collecting books and print ephemera (e.g., bookmarks, leaflets, pamphlets, posters, etc.) from fine presses, also known as private presses, for decades. Fine presses publish limited edition books that are distinguished by their fine printing (usually involving hand presswork), artistic merit, and high standards of workmanship. The process of making fine press books is truly a labour of love, requiring skilled craftsmanship, patience, and superb bookmaking materials.
